Happy Earth Day – How WildWash Encourages a Sustainable Lifestyle?
Happy Earth Day! No matter what your day looks like, there is always time to think about the earth. Earth Day (22 April 2022) is a time to reflect and be thankful for everything the Earth does for us. It is also a time to strengthen our relationship with nature, to give back, and to think of ways we can work to better support the Earth for future generations.
That’s why at WildWash we are constantly concerned about our environment and trying to combat the pollution as much as possible. Creating the opportunity for every pet owner to have a sustainable lifestyle makes us more than happy.
Here are a few of the ways in which WildWash encourages a sustainable lifestyle:
When Jane, a professional groomer, became pregnant, she was concerned at the number of unnamed chemicals in the products she was using every day. With limited information available on ingredient listing, Jane and Andrew decided to develop their own range of natural products in which they could be confident.
They were passionate about creating a brilliantly effective range that would be as good in every way as the highest quality human products available and was delighted to partner with an acclaimed independent boutique apothecary based in the UK who were responsible for some of the finest human products produced. This apothecary, who is also one of the top ten natural fragrance apothecaries in the world, embraced their project with a passion. Committed to quality, they created products that are hand blended and hand stirred, using a diverse and holistic mixture of plants, botanicals, and essential oils to create complex and beautifully fragranced natural products that truly work.
At WildWash, the team believes that animals and humans deserve the same quality cosmetics. Our products contain 100% essential oils and no parabens, phthalates, phosphates, petrochemicals, sulphates, palm oils, or PEGs are included.
Our pioneering packaging is made from recycled plastics and is fully recyclable. Plastic has its place and that place is not in the environment. We want to keep this material where it should be – in the circular economy, where it can be reused and recycled.
Our new bottles are made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR). We are also the first company in the world to use recycled spray pumps. For such a small company this is a massive achievement and I hope it shows you how passionate we are about protecting our environment.
We promise that all our lids are made from at least 50% PCR plastic, but this is much closer to 90%. These bottles are also recyclable so can go straight back into the PCR chain to be recycled and used again. We also promise to cut down on waste plastic in all parts of our production.
Our apothecary refuses to accept plastic packaging in anything it receives and they are also actively pursuing wind and solar power being the energy that produces all of our products.
We created the WildWash Range to be eco inside and out!
We are very excited to offer our customers the opportunity to refill their WildWash Shampoo bottles instead of repurchasing a new bottle of shampoo. This will help the environment in so many ways by helping us to reduce our plastic waste.
There is also a cost reduction as the refill price will be £9.95 instead of £14.95 for the price of a new bottle. So, it is a win, win for all of us!
