Dining with your dog is easier than ever as pet friendly restaurants in London increase in popularity. Here, WildWash checks out some of London’s best restaurants for dogs, some of which even have a special menu just for pups…
1. Bluebird, Chelsea
Bluebird in Chelsea is one of those rare spots that treats its four-legged customers with the same service as those of us with two. Dogs receive a bowl of water on arrival as well as a goody bag of treats to enjoy and have even hosted a doggy brunch in the past. Offering a modern European menu full of delicious dishes, it’s not a bad spot for humans either…
350 King’s Road, Chelsea SW3 5UU;
2. Bellanger, Islington
This traditional French brasserie in the heart of Islington has a Michelin Bib Gourmand to its name, but that doesn’t stop it from welcoming in pups. Offering an à la carte menu full of delicious food, as well an extensive wine list for its human guests, it’s a firm neighborhood favourite. What’s more, the chef at the restaurant even makes special dog biscuits for all the pups to ensure that they’ve been thoroughly pampered on their visit.
9 Islington Green N1 2XH;
3. Shake Shack – various locations
Shake Shack loves dogs almost as much as we love burgers. Every Shake Shack location has a specially created menu for dogs, with treats such as Pooch-ini, a pup-friendly vanilla custard with peanut butter sauce and a red velvet dog biscuit by Bocce’s Bakery. The red velvet biscuits can also be bought separately and taken home for continued snacking.
4. Gaucho Hampstead & Richmond
Gaucho in Hampstead and Richmond both welcome dogs, offering complimentary gourmet dog treats at their renowned Sunday brunch. The treats are made with low salt and sugar, specifically for pet health and enjoyment. Pups are also welcome to chill out while their owners dive into a Sunday roast.
64 Heath St, London NW3 1DN
5. L’Escargot
Get ready, because we’re about to use the words ‘dog’ and ‘crystal chandelier’ in the same sentence. How exciting. This legendary French restaurant not only has velvet drapes, a near blinding crystal chandelier, and snails flambéed in pastis, but they’re also dog-friendly. A quintessential Soho spot, this place is more beloved institution than restaurant. If you’re wondering what that means, it involves being around since 1896, Mick Jagger visits, and daily cartoons of snails. Sounds exactly like the kind of place you and your dog should be spending a Saturday night, non?
L’Escargot 48 Greek St, London, Greater London W1D 4EF

One of the best spots in South London to catch the sunset, on top of Peckham’s Bussey Rooftop is a lovely place to spend a dog-friendly evening with your pet.
