Christmas Pudding Homemade Dog Treat

Get your pet a one of a kind present at the most wonderful time of the year by making their food extra special. If you want to keep your canine companion from sneaking some of your treats, make him feel special with his own. This year, make the Holidays more memorable using your unique and special cooking skills to make a Christmas Pudding Homemade Dog Treat.

It is important to note that the Christmas pudding cooked for humans is toxic to your dog and that is why we will be sharing with you an alternative, healthy, low fat substitute treat for your pooch!

All the ingredients you need for this homemade dog treat (Christmas Pudding) are:

       » 2 eggs

*Eggs contain all the nutrients that your dogs need to be in their best shape: 100% digestible protein, vitamins & minerals*

» 1 cup of cooked and mashed pumpkin or sweet potato

*Pumpkin is great for dogs that suffer of anal gland issues because it is rich in fibre, aiding their digestion*

» 1 teaspoon of coconut oil

» 1/2 cup of grain free flour

       » 1 teaspoon of honey

In order to make this treat even more attractive, you can decorate it with:

» 1 packet Soopa healthy bites

» 1/2 cup of natural yogurt

Let’s see how we cook this delicious treat now:

      1. Whisk eggs in a bowl and then blend the mashed pumpkin/sweet potato into the mix

      2. Add the grain free flour, coconut oil, honey and mix everything well

      3. Line your pudding bowl with baking paper and place the mixture in it

      4. Fill half of a saucepan with water and let it boil

      5. When the water is boiling hot, carefully place the pudding bowl that you just created in the saucepan. Now you can cover and let it cook for around 40 minutes

      6. In the meantime, fill a zip bag with natural yogurt and get it ready for decoration

      7. Once the mix is well cooked, remove the bowl from the pan and allow it to cool down.

      8. When the pudding begins to cool down, cut the corner of the yogurt bag and begin your decoration

      9. Sprinkle the pudding with your dog’s favourite healthy bites.

Now that you used your chef skills and made this delicious homemade dog treat, your dog will be more excited for the Christmas Dinner and will enjoy this occasion as much as you do!
